So here’s to the red white and blue…Happy Birthday, America!  I hope you all are enjoying your summer, and have a safe and happy Independence Day. It’s May…which means spring is in full bloom and summer is just around the corner!  I hope you are enjoying all the wonderful events that have been going on in the Santa Clarita Valley over the last few months.  There’s much to do and much to see in this great town we call home.  Thank you to all the readers who have been emailing your celebrity encounters.  I look forward to them every month. Just last month, I had the amazing opportunity to meet New York Giants running back and Super Bowl champion Shane Vereen at the SCV Chamber of Commerce’s Luncheon.

Ahhh…Major League Baseball season has arrived!  Take us out to the ballgame, Santa Clarita, it’s time to play ball!  And just as baseball has arrived, so too have the stars! Thank you for all your celebrity sightings.  It’s always a blast to receive e-mails from all of you.  Keep ‘em coming.

School days…school days…dear ol’ golden rule days…

This isn’t the first celebrity sighting we’ve had with comedian Jay Leno, in fact it’s not even our second….Emmy award winning Jay Leno is known for his late night talk show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  The popular comedian is no stranger to television, as he’s made many appearances on Late Night with David Letterman and was a permanent guest host on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.

There’s always something so special about this time of year.  As I was driving around our city the other day, I couldn’t help but notice that the parks were a little busier with the arrival of spring sports.  What a great opportunity we are providing for our children to engage in team activity and physical fitness.  The beautiful weather we have here also makes it inviting to be outdoors.  Happy Spring, Santa Clarita!
