What is Chiropractic Care?
The chiropractic model of health is centered on the philosophy that the human body, being knit together in a wonderful way, will heal itself given the right opportunity and circumstances. Chiropractic health care is a branch of the healing arts based on the scientific fact that our nervous system controls or influences the function of every cell in our body. Interference to the nervous system (caused by the vertebral subluxation complex) will effect how the nervous system relates to the cells to which it travels.
What is Love?
Is love butterflies in your belly or a friendship set on fire? Is it just a chemical release that stimulates the brain’s pleasure center? Is it about possessing or liberating? Is it stagnant and limiting or does it open doors to and encourage growth opportunities? Is it the destination or the journey? Is it about giving, receiving or sharing? Is love felt or experienced?
We Form Habits, Then They Form Us
We all have developed bad habits over the course of our lives. Habits that are destructive forces and keep us from reaching our goals. Bad habits practiced over time form behaviors that can become extremely difficult to break.
Heart-wise, Be Wise
Many women believe their greatest health threat is breast cancer. However, the reality is 10 times as many women die from heart disease as from breast cancer. What used to be a man’s disease now claims as many women’s lives as it does men. Risk factors for heart disease are sometimes out of our control, such as family history or metabolic disorders.
The Chinese Secret that Turns Off Hunger
What it is: Auriculo therapy, an acupuncture or acupressure technique using tiny needles, stainless steel balls or herbal seeds, which are loosely secured with surgical tape to stimulate nerve centers on the ear that are directly linked to parts of the brain that control appetite. When the needles, balls or seeds are periodically rotated, they are sending signals to the brain that prevent hunger.
Is It the Right Time for Braces?
Orthodontics, or braces, is a special discipline of dentistry concerned with aligning the teeth and jaws to improve your smile and oral health. Dentists usually recommend braces to improve the patient’s physical “orofacial” appearance. Through orthodontic treatment, problems like crooked or crowded teeth, uneven spacing due to missing teeth, overbites or underbites, incorrect jaw position, and disorders of the jaw joints are corrected.
Weather Changes – Skincare Changes
Although the skin does not actually produce that much more oil in the summertime, humidity excess perspiration and sunscreen can make you feel a bit slippery. As a result, many people tend to use stronger cleansers and oil-controlling products to help cut through the greasy feeling.

Painless Laser Hair Removal
Unwanted hair has traditionally been removed by wax, tweezers, shaving, chemical depilatories or electrolysis. These techniques are time consuming, monotonous, painful, and have limited efficacies. Electrolysis, once a popular procedure for permanent hair removal is invasive, tedious, and only partially effective and can result in scarring or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
In-Home Care
What appears to be the least expensive alternative may have hidden costs and consequences. Independent caregivers and/or registries that merely provide the services of non-employees (also called independent contractors), typically charge a lower hourly rate for care than an in-home care agency that employs its caregivers. At the same time, the client who uses an independent caregiver may end up bearing hidden costs and assuming additional risks. Those costs and risks may include lack of background checks on caregivers, lack of training, and employer liability, both in terms of insurance and taxes.
Children’s Dental Care: How Simple and Conservative
I don’t think any of us would argue that children have it made. Wouldn’t we all like to have little to no responsibility, go to school for a few hours per day, skateboard and play? Specifically, most adults would like to visit the dentist twice per year and the appointment result in no cavities or one treated without the resulting three-hour numbness and time-consuming inconvenience.
With nutrition, dental hygiene and fluoride decay should be declining. Scarily, decay has now become epidemic in children.
Create the Life You Want!
Has something ever happened, either good or bad and you said, “I knew this would happen?” Sometimes it is our intuition, and sometimes we believed that this would happen and sure enough it did. What we ardently believe will happen. This is why we need to be careful as to what thoughts we entertain. Our mind is very good at picking up images.
Protecting Your Feet
With the hectic pace of the holidays, serious injuries from ice-related falls inevitably occur. A Valencia foot and ankle surgeon says falls on icy surfaces are a major cause of ankle sprains and fractures, and it’s critical to seek prompt treatment to prevent further damage that can prolong recovery.

The Heart of a Woman
Proper nutrition plays a key role in the functioning of the heart, similar to the maintenance of a car’s engine relative to its ability to function. Without proper care, the engine will have major dysfunctions and eventually quit running. If we’re not mindful, the same can happen with the heart.
Health Begins in the Colon
What will colonics do to the colon? It Cleanses the Colon: Toxic colon debris is broken down and removed so it can no longer harm your body or inhibit elimination. Once impacted material moves out, your colon can begin to work as it was meant to. Actually, a colonic is like taking a shower on the inside of the large intestine (colon).
