Holiday’s Stressing You Out?
It’s two weeks before Christmas and you’re running around trying to finish holiday shopping with even less money to spend than last year? Well it’s time to sit back and take a breather. Added stress during the holidays can lead to ill health past the New Year. Many people spend so much time stressing out during the holidays they stop taking care of themselves.
Dermal Fillers
Looking for a safe, long lasting, cosmetic procedure that delivers instant gratification? Try a dermal filler. Dermal fillers have been used worldwide for almost 30 years. With aging, the face deflates; much like a balloon loses air over time and no longer looks smooth and full. With the variety of fillers that we have today we can re-volumize the face giving back its youthful appearance. The only question now is which dermal filler to choose.

When it comes to tooth replacement, we live in a good time. Whether a single tooth has been lost, or a slippery denture is causing trouble, dental implant technology has the problem covered.

Note to Seniors: Defy the Myths, Resolve to Live!
There are a lot of myths about aging, three of which are the worst because they can keep us from aging successfully.
Myth One: To be old is to be sick. OK, the risk of developing a chronic illness or disability is higher as we age, but despite limitations, most seniors are able to adapt and to live independently for a very long time.
Audiology Associates Among First to Offer Wireless Hearing Devices
Feeling “unconnected” with family, friends, colleagues and many essential conveniences of modern life such as cell phones and televisions is a concern voiced by many people who come to Audiology Associates’ offices in Valencia seeking help. “Even a mild hearing loss can make it challenging to distinguish speech and other sounds in the environment, so that it becomes difficult to understand what is going on,” explains Patrice Rifkind, Au.D. of Audiology Associates. “The result is that people with untreated hearing loss often end up feeling flawed and isolated.”
Do You Have Shoulder Pain?
The shoulder is one of the body’s most mobile joints. Unfortunately the mobility of the shoulder comes at a cost. This high degree of mobility predisposes the shoulder joint and soft tissues to injury. This is the reason there is an increased prevalence of shoulder injuries among highly active people. These injuries vary and often lead to shoulder pain. It is important to make an accurate diagnosis to the cause of your symptoms so that appropriate treatment can be rendered.

Relief for Heel and Arch Pain
Heel/Arch pain is one of the most common foot ailments affecting millions of people on a daily basis. Unfortunately, this affliction is left untreated by a majority of the population, figuring that it will go away, or accepting that the pain is typical with excessive standing or walking. Eventually, this ailment becomes chronic in nature, often manifesting with “first step pain” when getting out of bed or after a period of rest, usually dissipating after a few minutes of walking, then eventually returning later in the day.

Shoulder Pain? Make Sure You Get The Right Diagnosis!
The shoulder is a complex joint involving three different bones and 20 different muscles allowing for a wide range of motion. The main joint of the shoulder (glenohumeral joint) is connected by a group of four muscles and their tendon attachments, called the rotator cuff. Problems with the rotator cuff include sports injuries, dysfunction due to muscle imbalance, wear and tear issues leading to fibrotic scar tissue formation and adhesions.

Thank You Dr. Unruh
As a medically retired deputy sheriff, I have been treated by numerous doctors over the last four years. Unfortunately, my condition continued to worsen. Not only was I in a great deal of pain, I had no energy and at times very depressed.
Infertility
Pregnancy, childbearing and becoming a family for many can be one of the most joyous times of their lives; others face sadness, fear, anxiety and stress due to infertility. Infertility affects about 7.3 million women and their partners in the U.S., and about 12 percent of the reproductive-age population. Most infertility cases, 85 to 90 percent are treated with conventional therapies, such as drug treatment or surgical repair of reproductive organs.
Emotions and our Health During the Holidays
From a Chinese medical point of view, the emotions play a big part in a person’s total health and well-being. There are five main emotions considered when diagnosing an illness: anger, joy, worry, sorrow/grief and fear. Each emotion in turn, is connected to a particular organ system within the body. If we hold the holistic viewpoint that the body, mind and spirit are connected - then we can see how our emotions can have a tremendous effect on our health. When we are surrounded by toxic thoughts and negativity it can have a negative impact on our health and impair our body’s resistance to illness. Emotions also have a way of “holding” illness in our bodies and this is why in many chronic conditions there is also an emotional element combined with a physical trauma that triggered the illness.
Teeth Whitening and Your Smiles Part 2
There are a few teeth whitening procedures available that correct discoloration of the teeth by removing the brown and yellow staining. While each work effectively, there are advantages and disadvantages to each procedure dependent upon your objectives and commitment to the processes. The type of procedures available should be discussed with your dentist, and they will recommend the most appropriate teeth whitening procedure for you.
Bringing Sexy Back with a “Mommy-Makeover” A Deserving Transformation
Being a plastic surgeon, I hear about the desire from hundreds of women to have their “pre-baby body back”. Certainly, the joy of having a child is beyond what words can describe, yet the effects on a woman’s body from pregnancy can be quite a compromise.
