A Royal Fashion Show
Fancy hats, gorgeous clothes and a nod to the wedding of England’s Prince William and Kate Middleton made for a delightful afternoon at the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Guild’s 27th Annual Fashion Show on October 23. Dubbed a “Royal Fashion Show,” the event, held in the ballroom of the Sheraton Universal, attracted more than 350 guests and benefited the laboratory department of Henry Mayo.

It was an evening of excitement and fast moving dice as guests enjoyed a night of Bunco on October 11 at the Valencia Hills Clubhouse. Drinks and appetizers were served and there were many exciting prizes and raffle items.
A Toast to Raising Awareness
It was a fun filled evening of delicious appetizers and fine wine at the Breast Cancer Awareness Wine Tasting at Salt Creek Grille on October 6. Funds raised on the night of the event will benefit the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation and Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center, to help raise awareness of the importance of mammograms for early breast cancer detection. The annual fundraiser will also help raise funds to purchase technology designed to improve outcomes for women undergoing breast reconstructive surgery as a result of breast cancer. The wi-fi enabled ViOptix T.Ox™ Tissue Oximeter measures the oxygen flow in transplanted tissue and transmits the data to any internet accessible device including PDAs, smart phones and personal computers to help clinicians quickly identify potential tissue health risks and initiate appropriate intervention.
