With the warm days followed by cool It was a totally awesome 80’s auction on Saturday, June 4 as guests stepped back in time at the social event of the season, the 40th Annual Boys & Girls Club Thriller auction-A Flashback to the 80’s. Reena and Tony Newhall, who served as Chairs of the very first Auction back in 1972, returned as this year’s Chairs. The event also marked Jim Ventress; Chief Professional Officer, 25th year of service to the Club.

On Saturday, April 9, friends and family gathered to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s annual Great Strides walk in Valencia. It was a successful event as the streets of Town Center Drive were lined with hundreds of supporters. After taking three laps around Wesfield’s Valencia Town Center, guests enjoyed live music, delicious food and raffle prizes.

Beauty and grace defined the evening as Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Guild presented the 26th Annual Silver Rose Debutante Ball on Saturday, March 5 at the Grand Ballroom of the Hyatt Valencia. Eight debutantes, escorted by their fathers and a brother made their entrance under raised swords held by the ROTC midshipmen from USC and UCLA.
Poised and Prepared SCV Newhall Optimist’s Oratorical Contest
The cold brisk weather didn’t affect contestants in the SCV Newhall Optimist Club’s Oratorical contest held at La Mesa Jr. High on Tuesday, March 22. Consisting mainly of eighth graders, with a few seventh graders mixed in, students rehearsed their speeches in the back and people began to fill up the chairs.
Simply Irresistible High Fashion Fun!
The Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley and Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita joined together and presented the Simply Irresistible Fashion Show to benefit the Soroptimist International of the Americas programs designed to stop human trafficking.
