Hart District’s Annual Theatre Festival
Broken legs and other warm wishes were shared from all actors in the Hart District during the Annual Theatre Festival on February 25, 2011.
The past festival was the eighth year the Hart District has planned the event at College of the Canyon’s Performing Arts Center, with classmates, parents, and friends supporting their high school’s theater group.

It was a delightful night on Saturday, March 5 at the historic and exclusive California Club in Los Angeles, as guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, live auction and great company. The evening honored 2011 Silver Spur Award Recipient Diana Cusumano for her work in the community along with her dedication to help those in need.

On February 12, wine lovers from all over joined together for the 1st Annual SCV Wine Fest at the Embassy Suites in Valencia. Guests sampled some of the best local food and wine and spirits from over 100 different labels, enjoying educational seminars designed the demystify the art of wine tasting.
Keeping Smiles Alive and Well
February is National Children’s Dental Health month, with volunteers like the Foundation for Children’s Dental Health who dedicated much support for the awareness in our community. Last December 27, 2010, the non-profit organization provided dental and preventative care to children who come from low-income households or might not have access to public transportation.

Tuesday, December 14 was a sentimental evening with the kick off to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital’s first-ever neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The upcoming 11-bed, NICU will deliver next generation care to Santa Clarita Valley’s tiniest residents and families.

The SCVAA PeeWee Warriors donated a check for $340 from their “Touchdown Fund” to this year’s Jaycees Santa’s Helpers event. Accepting the check on behalf of the SCV Jaycees organization was 2011 President Nicole Raach.
