Celebrity Sightings

“Perfect song on the radio, sing along ‘cause it’s one we know…It’s a smile, it’s a kiss, it’s a sip of wine, it’s summertime.” Kenny Chesney sang it perfectly.  There’s something special about the summertime, and summertime in our Valley is nothing less than sweet. 

For me, spring is one of my favorite times of the year.  The flowers are in full bloom and the newness of life abounds.  It also means that baseball season has finally arrived!  Let’s play ball!  

It’s the lucky month of March, where shamrocks and leprechauns are in high demand.  And while you may be in search for your four-leaf clover, don’t forget to keep your eyes out for celebrities while you’re out and about.  Thank you for all your celebrity sightings.  I look forward to your emails every month!

February is the month of love!  Whether or not cupid has struck, one thing is certain, we all love encountering a celebrity or two.  It was indeed a star-studded month for the City of Santa Clarita.  There were sightings everywhere!  I had the opportunity to meet a few stars myself.  Actor Atticus Shaffer, from the hit television series, The Middle, found his way to our office the other day for a photo shoot for the cover of this issue of The Magazine of Santa Clarita. 

We all know Santa Claus is December’s most popular celebrity, and while I didn’t snap a photo with the handsome and bearded Old St. Nick, I certainly will keep my eye out for him on Christmas Eve!   Santa Claus is coming to Awesometown!
It is indeed the most wonderful time of the year as the streets are lined with holiday décor and neighborhoods are all lit up. 

Are you ready for some football?  Now that we’ve kissed baseball season goodbye, we are in full swing of total football madness!  Bring on the helmets and pads, and don’t forget….the celebrities as well.  Thank you, Santa Clarita, for all your e-mails! Fall is finally here! The warm summer days have been replaced by the cool autumn breeze.  And while the color of the leaves have changed, one thing remains the same…the celebrities are still here, Santa Clarita!  Thank you for all your celebrity sightings.  I always look forward to hearing from you.  Keep em’ coming!
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to meet superstar stand-up comedian Carlos Mencia at the Ice House in Pasadena.  

It was a drama free evening on Wisteria Lane; in the seemingly perfect suburban neighborhood with white picket fences and picture perfect homes.  That’s because the cast of Desperate Housewives amongst other television and movie stars gathered together for a Block Party on Wisteria Lane to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Over a thousand guests perused through the homes on Wisteria Lane, enjoying live entertainment by the Band From TV (a musical group consisting of actors from Desperate Housewives, Lost, ER, House and many more).

Roll out the red carpet, Santa Clarita, the stars are most certainly here!  Thank you to all of you who have submitted sightings.  It’s so much fun to see the photos and hear the stories about your “brushes with fame”.  I’ve had a couple myself these last few months.  
I had an awesome opportunity to meet up with K-EARTH 101’s On Air Host and News Director, Bob Malik at Le Chene the other evening. 

It’s the month of March, where rainbows, four-leaf clovers, lucky leprechauns and pots of gold abound.   While sights of green may flourish throughout our Valley, so too do celebrities.   Keep up the great work, Santa Clarita!  Keep the sightings comin’!
I had the wonderful opportunity to have coffee with Santa Clarita resident and teenage actress Grace Rolek.  While you may not recognize Grace from her television and movie appearances, there’s no doubt you’ve definitely heard her.
